While we were on our Cruise to the Bahamas we took the opportunity to do some snorkeling. We considered doing it while in Nassau but decided to toru the island and do the snorkeling at Cococay. ... Monday, June 15 While we were in Las Vegas, we listened to a time share spiel and accepted a free meal and show, and a mini cruise to the Bahamas. On the second day we were in the Bahamas, docked in Nassau. ... We took a taxi back to Nassau and spent the rest of our time shopping in the Straw Markets. ... Seit Freitag Mittag sind wir nun also auf Paradise Island - Bahamas. Nassau - bis in die 80er Jahre ein wichtiger Bankenplatz (die Bahamas sind auf derselben grauen OSCE-Liste wie die Schweiz platziert worden) - liegt sehr nahe, mit dem Taxi nur 10 Minuten über eine Brücke entfernt. ... Doch wir wollten die Stadt am Abend besuchen.Seit Freitag Mittag sind wir nun also auf Paradise Island - Bahamas. We found a couple of chairs right outside the cafe and enjoyed our coffee while watching our arrival into Nassau. ... As a result, we decided to just explore a bit of Nassau and then head back to what we hoped would be a fairly empty ship. ... We booked a snorkelling trip aboard a 57ft catamaran for this morning and were ready to go at 8am! Jun 30, 2008 - The Bahamas!

A quick 45 minute flight and we were on the island of New Providence in The Bahamas! We checked into our hotel and headed straight to the beach a mere 30m walk from the hotel across the road! The beach was deserted as we were staying out and away from the big resorts (purposely and what a great choice!) so we spent a few hours on the beach. Geoff was snorkelling for ages and loved it! Still not as amazing as Rarotonga he reckons! Later in the afternoon we caught the bus into Nassau downtown and had a wander around. ... Talk about cruise ship mecca! My luggage wasn't put on the plane I was on so now I don't have any luggage!
