Current location: Georgetown, the winter (most southerly) destination for hundreds of cruisers in the Exumas (Bahamas). ... Favorite boat names seen recently:  Sea Sharp (for our musically oriented friends – the S’s are treble clefs)  Got a Life  Better than Working At 8pm on channel 68 (the hailing channel for cruisers in Georgetown) every night we hear “Goodnight Georgetown”, sometimes followed by a series of “good nights”. ... It’s even better in the morning – at 8am on channel 72 the cruiser’s net begins with “Good morning Georgetown, good morning cruisers”. ... For example, leaving our last anchorage before Georgetown (Lee Stocking Island, home of the Caribbean Marine Research center), we went aground on some coral heads. ... Of course, here in Georgetown we can get produce and meat (albeit very expensive), but getting into town is quite hard so we rarely do it (instead we go to the beaches on the island across the harbor for fun). ...
