Jan 23, 2007 - Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands

1/23 Today we arrived at Grand Turk, which is part of the Turks and Caicos Islands, a British Colony in the British West Indies. There is only about 1700 people on the island. We took a taxi to Cockburn Town which is the only town on the eight square mile island. We walked along the small streets checking out the 19th century homes and the street venders. On our return to the ship we put on our swimming suits and walked down the peer to the conveniently located beach. Beautifully warm and clear water.
