As accommodation prices in Salzburg skyrocketed we were forced to randomly choose a town outside. Going to Badgastein was possibly the greatest move we could have made. Not only was our hostel A-freaking-mazing (having the best breakfast known to mankind), Badgastein was stunningly beautiful as were the stupid, crazy, freaking tall, snow-capped mountains surrounding it. A long time ago, in a deep, narrow valley someone discovered 47 degree Celsius water flowing out of the mountain and decided to build a spa on the side of a cliff. It was such a good idea that someone else decided to build another spa just a bit higher on the cliff. Then another spa sprang up and another, all clinging to the face of the cliffs.
