Aug 25, 2012 - Walkaway - 20-25 August

Hit the road at 0540 (Monday 20th August) and pulled up at Kathy's in Walkaway 1000 kms and 11 hours later, so a really good run down. We had planned on staying in Mullewa for a couple of nights to see the wildflowers, but there were very, very few along the roadside, so we changed out mind and came on through. How glad we were of our decision when it began raining only an hour after we arrived and did so for the next day and a half!!! Got the van in to Kath's side paddock so got ourselves nicely settled. Sep 17, 2010 - Day 82 - Kalbarri to Walkaway

210 kms today - just a hop, step and jump!! Away from Tudor Park in Kalbarri just before 0830. Lovely coastal drive south until the Hutt River Province turn off - an unsealed, but good, road the 26kms into the "Province". We last visited there in the early 70s just after Leonard Casley 'seceded' [successfully] from Australia on 21st April 1970. Is about the size of Hong Kong - a farm of 75 square kilometers. Since that time, the Province has produced its own currency, stamps, military(!!), visa, paraphernalia and souvenirs!! It celebrated...
