Then we went on to Tunnel Creek. Only on the way did we read that we needed to be prepared to go into water, and that we needed torches. So on arrival I was very hesitant to go through, and my trepidation rubbed off on Joel who for once was not the great risk-taker. Anyway I was persuaded by Stan to be brave about it, and Joel was dragged along for the ride (sorta kicking and screaming). Jul 14, 2009 - Tuesday 14th July

July 14th Bit of a chilly night, 1st one for about a week, Terri was up and out early with the video camera so I tried for a bit of a sleep in. Crawled out about 7ish for brekky and to survey the neighbors. Lot of activity, kids running around, breakfast cooking, a big contingent of campers. Did the grease monkey bit this morning. We weren’t in any hurry, planning to look at tunnel creek and then either a bush camp or go into Fitzroy Crossing. Packed at a slow pace and set out for tunnel Creek, 35 kms away……the road hasn’t gotten any...
