Darn it's only 5.30,and we feel like we've been asleep for ages as we're wide awake,on goes the kettle for that early morning cuppa,this was a really nice spot that we found,no trains no trucks very quiet. By the time we had breakfast showered and cleaned up it was 9.30 before we headed off towards Perth,very pretty country side,Oh no not another red dirt road lucky we didn't wash the van earlier,we traveled along the road for 17 kms before we hit bitumen and a town called Bullsbrook where the Pearce airforce base is. Oct 9, 2012 - Hot Air Ballooning and Toodyay

Up at 3am to catch a ride with the pilot to the Northam airport. After a briefing we boarded the bus to travel about 22kms south-east of town to a paddock along with 12 other people to take a 1 hour balloon ride across the Avon valley. It was quite cold but exciting to see the balloon fill with air and rise. As a passenger you have to help set up and at the end pack up the balloon. Aug 2, 2009 - Afternoon drive to Toodyay.

I spent half the day sitting about, and then I read a message from Sue on Facebook, so I rang her. She had had family up for the weekend, but they had gone and she offered to come down to Stratton and pick me up, to stay the night. Of course, she did not know that I have my car here, so I said that I could drive up there, and that I would love to stay the night, but that I need to be back in Perth, at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital before 2pm tomorrow.
