Jan 7, 2014 - A boat day
This morning we went to the Rockingham beach boat ramp. The girls were very excited to come with us in the truck. They loved watching the boat come down off the roof and Phil and David put it together with a little help and excitement from the girls. Then they dragged the boat on its wheels to the boat ramp and launched it. They all had turns in the boat going out into the bay. One time they came back very excited as dolphins had been swimming alongside them and jumping over the bow. Lisa and I went out after that but didn't see them...Jump to full entry
Jan 6, 2014 - Visiting friends at Rockingham
The lookout looks over the whole of Cape Peron and the vistas are magnificent. The beach is lovely and the sand is quite yellow. As you go into the water over a few flat rocks the sand drops away and you have this lovely swimming area. Walking the length of the beach I saw a lady swimming along the water as if it was a lap pool. I decided to do it too so you get in at the far end of the beach. It is quite easy and drops away to quite deep straight away but once you're in you realise you have to swim the whole length as you don't know what's...Jump to full entry
Dec 24, 2006 - Rockingham - 'Christmas Eve'
Well Christmas has arrived. Andy and I were invited to Rachel's parents house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Rockingham. Arrived at the house in the early afternoon, went to the beach to play cricket for a vouple of hours. What a complete bastard that was!!. Had tea and then just relaxed with a few beers. Quite nice not to have all the hype around christmas that we get at home.Jump to full entry
