Woken up at 7 wasn't the highlight of the day but it got us ready early for another days surf. My upper arms and shoulders were really sore after yesterdays exercise and I was beginning to think they would fall off later in the day. By 9 we were in the sea with a bus load of fellow english who came up for the day. May 2, 2005 - Perth, Australia

We arrived in Perth late on Sunday night after a brief layover in Singapore. The flight was so bumpy, they even made the cabin crew sit down at one point so we were happy to get off of the plane. After making it through the tough Australian customs officers we caught a cab into the city. It is amazing how deserted the streets seemed and how orderly the traffic was as compared to Asia - I think we will be in culture shock for awhile. Our first day in Australia was rainy and cold. Mar 13, 2005 - Still in Perth - and back to work I go!!!

G'day all! Well you'll all be happy to know that I have left the beaches temporarily (at least Mon-Fri) and have once again joined the rat race! Working full-time at The Chamber of Minerals & Energy in downtown Perth as a Project Officer working with the President and Managing Director - everything from HR to Admin to Communications work. Nothing too taxing brain-wise though, which is nice for a change, but the money is great and the days go by fast.
