What a lovely country we live In. The Nullabor isn't how I remember it from years ago driving on miles of dirt road, bush fires burning on the side of the road, a mouse plague. Things do change, now the road is made, there has been enough rain, the trees and grass are green,plenty of food for the kangaroos to feed on inland rather than feeding on the side of the road where they get hit, we can see the Southern Ocean in some parking areas. 2016 holiday

Sep 18, 2015 - Balladonia to Mundrabilla

Friday 18 September 2015 A good night at Afghan Rocks. Bit of noise early in morning, and Don was the only one who heard it! He also heard the road train leave, although he said it was done very quietly. A long drive today through much the same sort of country as yesterday. Certainly not the most scenic of drives, but the roads are great and we have now repeated the 90 mile straight road. The days have been getting warmer, with still cool mornings. Nullabor Adventure

Zo dat was een lange weg door de Nullarbor!! Maar best wel gaaf om te rijden!! Toen ik achter het stuur zat, had ik echt idee dat ik in Austraiƫ was. Langs deze weg, die langs de kustlijn ligt van "The Great Australian Bight" (de grote hap uit de onderkant van Oz) waren allemaal uitkijkpunten. En dat zijn een van de betere uitzichten die ik in mijn reis van de zee heb gezien! Prachtig met de hoge rotsen en de zee die er tegenaan kletterd! Machtig. Zo hebben we 3 van die uitzichten gezien! Toen zijn we doorgereden, en hebben we de grens...
