Feb 6, 2006 - WA: Past the Stirling Ranges to Denmark
Up early and after a drive down the main road through Lake Grace, we've pretty much seen the town, so we continue to head North West towards Albany. The landscape is pretty much the same as yesterday - endless, flat wheatfields - until we sight the Stirling Ranges, rearing suddenly up out of the flat land. It's long and jagged and an impressive sight. We drive up and do a short walk to check out the view. Reach Albany by lunch and have a drive around. It's a nice enough town, but we've heard such good things about Denmark and it's so windy...Jump to full entry
Dec 26, 2005 - Merry Christmas!
Well Merry Christmas to you all! We had a fantastic christmas this year at Dan's house in Albany, with copious amounts of delicious food, lots to drink and great company. All the Bales' were back together for one last big catch up with a few strays tagging along - Em, Paul and Elmer before we go to Sydney and from there Buenos Aires on Saturday!!! On Christmas Eve we headed out into the freezing cold weather to dive the HMAS Perth, (an early Christmas present from Geoff and Kaye).
