Sep 30, 2012 - Mining Country

We left Mount Magnet under sunny skies, albeit windy. The trip east was very uneventful for the first hour or so - plenty of goats and the odd goanna and emu crossing the road. Ich begann zu graben und schon nach wenigen Zentimetern fand ich ein 0.5 gr...

THE TOWN IS ACTUALLY OWNED BY BHP AND IS A REAL EXPERIENCE IN ITSELF. JESSE WORKED UNDERGROUND AT THE LEINSTER NICKEL OPERATION WHICH ISN'T FAR FROM THE TOWN. WE DIDN'T PLAN ON STAYING HERE LONG TERM AND IN THE END WE FOUND THAT IT JUST WASN'T FOR US SO AFTER MAKING A BIT OF CASH WE DECIDED TO CONTINUE ON OUR JOURNEY AND KEEP ON TRAVELLING. AFTER LIVING IN THE DESERT FOR A...
