We left pretty early as we had a long day's driving ahead of us. After a couple of hours on the road we reached Pemberton. We had heard about the Gloucester Tree which is 61 meters high and was used as a fire look out but now a tourist attraction. For the brave (or stupid) you can climb the tree. You have to wait your turn, as only 6 people can climb the tree at any one time, which I did. I eventually summed up the courage and climbed the 153 steps to the top ... yippee!
