Aug 18, 2011 - Stirling Ranges would not be ignored!
We began last leg of our W.A., tour namely the south west corner: big trees,wineries, whales and lighthouses. We planned to go straight to Albany however, as the landscape changed, travelling out of tall forests, the gorgeous Stirling Ranges emerged in the East. It waas such a contrast to the flat heathland up north it took us by surprise. These ranges stretch for about 68km and are renowned for it's diversity of plant and bird life.
