Whilst we were in Monkey Mia we got a phone call from Chris and Claudia who having left Brisbane had now arrived in Perth. Whilst chatting Chris mentioned that he had read about the Pinnacles Dessert just outside of a town called Cervantes, and about five hours away from Perth. It was somewhere he said he really wanted to visit. Aug 19, 2005 - Tour: Day 1

Our first day of the tour we stopped off at the Pinnacles desert, which is pretty cool. It has loads of mounds just jutting out of the sand, as you will see in the photos. After we went sand boarding on huge sand dunes, it was loads of fun. Everyone is really nice on the tour, there is Sam; a very chatty friendly english girl, Iris; from switzerland and just come from a very cool trip of Africa, Volkner; from Germany, quiet and not outdoorsy at all but he seemed to love trying, Nanako & Kyoko; from Japan, kyoko didn't speak english and...
