Day 54,55,56 - Albany - 410km Three long days to reach albany and back on the coast , the weather hasnt been good, rain on and off for the past three days which is a bit inconvenient as albany would have been even nicer having the sun to bring out the already impressive colours of the white sandy beaches and the clear sea water. ... Albany is an interesting town, and i had a great cycle to my caravan park along a coastal road with the sea on one side, forest on the other and a winding downhill. ... As for the caravan site, that is far and away the best ive stayed in, spa, theatre room, bbqs, swimming pool, despite being so close to perth and the end of the ride i could happily have stayed in albany for another couple of days. ...

Jeff comments 7 to 8 Jan 2007 Leaving Borden at 9 am which was early for us, and nearly all of the local residents, we travelled along at the most economical speed of between 44 and 50 miles per hour. Back at the site we relaxed in the evening air and was entertained mostly by parrots and kookaburras; tomorrow we will be in Albany which is situated on the coast and is the main town and port of this area. ...
