Stawell is the closest large town to the Grampians National Park and the park's tourist village of Halls Gap, making it an ideal base to explore the natural attractions in the area. Family owned and operated, the Stawell Park Caravan Park is relaxed and friendly, uniquely set on 30 hectares of bushland park with "Pleasant Creek" meandering through it. Jun 9, 2016 - Stawell; home of the Easter Gift

The weather looked positively bright early in the day alas before long the rain had returned. In any event we decided to drive over to the McKenzie’s Fall lookout and intended to stop at other spots along the way but we were soon enveloped in low cloud so going even higher would have made the view even worse. Shame we have seen so little of the Grampians due to the foul weather, I should say fowl weather as its great for the ducks… Get to the lookouts and it’s not raining and kind of clear, the sun made a few feeble attempts to show itself...
