May 29, 2011 - Portarlington, May 29-June 1

Headed out of Ballarat just before 10 for a leisurely drive down to Geelong and through to Portarlington, where we have camped. Took off to Queenscliff, about 25 kms away, to check out the ferry terminal for Wed morning's crossing to Sorrento. Visited Point Lonsdale before heading back via St. Leonard's and Indented Head so we could travel beside the sea back to here. We had lunch at an old hotel in Queenscliff and visited the harbour and marina area. Our final stop was...

We left to travel west and south on the Great Ocean Road. The scenery was beautiful! Again with the winding roads! First we had to stop at the Fly in Otway Park so Verne and I could do the tree top walk! I did it but I did not go up the spiral tower nor out on the cantilever! I only looked down out of the corner of my eye; at least it was fenced on each side of the walkway! We...

Apr 1, 2011 - Happy April Fool's from Portarlington!

All the laundry is done so now we have clean clothes to start our next leg of the trip! We are in Portarlington with Peter and Ali! We have finally met the infamous Willis! What a great view of the bay they have from their house! I was able to go for a run along the beach…the best scenery I have had to run near! Today was a relaxing day. Verne and Peter played golf and Ali and I did some food shopping and of course went to an ice cream store!
