Well having picked up my jeep I was finally able to hit the road and get out into the Australian countryside. Saturday morning early, I left my Melbourne hostel to drive the Great Ocean Road. This proved to be a lot busier than expected as it was Australia Day (26th) weekend so it seemed like half of Melbourne had decided to do the same ! So it took almost 2 hours to get to Torquay at the start of the road and the drive itself was a continuous flow of traffic doing about 50km/hr. Not quite what I expected.
