Nov 26, 2017 - Day 2 Wilson's Prom to Foster

Day Description It rained on and off much of the night. Luckily we stayed dry but it was messy in the morning A slightly later breakfast in rather wet conditions then I headed out with Roman at 7am to our marshalling spot at 46km. Rain more or less held off all day. Didn't get a decent opportunity to see much of Wilsons Prom National Park. We were riding too fast to stop. Marshalling was at a busy intersection of several roads. Police came to assist which was great. No lunch delivered to us until we called operations as a reminder....

Mar 20, 2012 - When I went to the Moomba Festival

The Moomba Festival is a festival that they do every year in Australia near the riverbank. One of their famousest stuff is Birdman. Birdman is where they make this hang-glider thingy or something and they try to fly off a dock and whoever gets the farthest wins. We also went on bumper cars, me and Henry. It was really fun. We only got bumped once that actually surprised us, at the very end of our turn. From Frannie

Mar 20, 2012 - We went to the Great Ocean Road

This weekend I went to the Great Ocean Road. The Great Ocean Road is a historic place. It is known by all of the Australians. They built the roads when the soldiers came back from the war. It is surrounded by waters and nice places to swim and a great big mountain. And we were staying at the top of the mountain where my brother's friend's grandmother and grandfather lived. We went horse riding. I went on a pony and Henry and his friend went on two grown horses. We went on two different rides, Henry and his friend Jude went on the bush trail...

Mar 2, 2012 - We Went Camping

Dear Friends and Families, We went camping last week. It was fun. We saw a wombat. It was cute and furry. We had one day of rain and the rest was sunny. There was two beaches near our campsite. We went swimming at them, and there was one river near one of the beaches, connected to one of the beaches. And the rest was ocean. Me and my dad went swimming in the ocean. We heard lots of kookaburras, they were my alarm clock in the morning. It was really fun. Love Frannie

Mar 6, 2008 - Wilson's Promontory

Dec 21, 2005 - Melbourne to Foster

It's hard to believe it's only 4 days till Christmas. It really doesn't feel like Christmas. I see the decorated Christmas trees and Santas here and there but...it's just no the same as home. It's doesn't seem as festive without the snow! It was nice not to have to unpack everything and not to have to set up and pack up the tent. Ken and I walkded for a further urban hike. We headed for the Docklands which is much like Toronto's harbour front. There were a few interesting art works and we spotted a Brot and picked up some fresh bread. It...
