May 5, 2005 - Another day in Tazmainia

We had our first morning of rain, we went up the cost to the Tamar Valley to a place called Beauty Point the Seahorse World and Platypus Land, It was good, but in the end we didn't do the tour at Seahorse World as I discovered they were breeding them for Chinese medicine. (I was gutted as I really wanted to do it, but we though it just wasn't right. Later we discovered they were doing it to help reduce the amount taken form the wild. Dropped a bit of a clangor there!) Mar 11, 2005 - Cradle Mountain and Lauceston

Today was spent all day on Cradle Mountain, and what a day, one of 30 days out of the year when the weather is fine and we were there! First of all we went for a long walk round the lake, the other, more hikie people headed off up the mountain but believe me this walk was just as fulfilling! Liz and i walked for about 4 hours which I think is about 7 kilometers, but up and down hill! we then diverted from the lake and walked through the Wombat walk and saw a few wombats, although nocturnal they get a bit hungry so some come out early! Jan 25, 2004 - Cradle Mountain and Launceston

Today we went on a great hike to Cradle Mountain National Park. We didn't summit because that's a full day adventure but the views were pretty incredible nonetheless. Afterwards we headed to Launceston, where we lost half the group - some were only on a three day tour and others were finishing their seven days where they had started.
