29/01 – Pulled in to Campania at a free camp. We decided to do day trips instead of moving around the Hobart area as this place is really charming. In the 1860’s it was a stop over for people travelling from Launceston to Hobart. The original inn which was the hotel, burnt down recently but the accommodation building over the road is now the shop and everything else type shop. It got its name from the Governors wife who said the rolling hills and countryside reminded her of “Campania” in Italy. There are fruit farms and walnut farms around...
