Thursday 1 October 2015 A cooler night in Pimba, and plenty of vans camped there for the night. Close to the road and the rail line, not too much noise from trucks, but a few trains passed by. Luckily, the one that made sure everyone knew he was coming through was earlier in the night. A nice drive into Port Augusta, the ever changing landscape from flat desolate country to some pretty tree lined parts, and then the mountain ranges as we approached Port Augusta. Jul 31, 2015 - Broken Hill to Stony Creek Bush Camp

Friday 31 July 2015 A quiet night in Broken Hill, with a minimum of 2d. It actually felt warmer than that. After a fuel stop not far from the park, we set off once again. Much quieter road, and not all the transports that have been travelling with us for days! Stopped at Olary for morning tea. Nothing there, except a pub and quite a nice rest area. Obviously the hotel keeps things quite tidy. Back on the road and headed for the quarantine station. We had all cleared as much fruit and veges from our vans, hoping they would pass what we had...

Nullabor Adventure

Jul 31, 2014 - Melrose

After leaving woomera we headed to port Augusta and did some shopping then up to the flinders ranges and through the horrocks pass. At this point those little fluffy clouds I had seen low on the horizon suddenly caught up with me and I got to Melrose and thought I had better find a camp while i could. The lady at the caravan park told me snow was forecast on the flinders ranges tonight and right now it certainly feels like it! May 1, 2012 - Hancocks Lookout near Wilmington

30th April Left Moorook early this morning. Stopped at the Wakerie Bakery for breakfast before heading to the ferry across the Murray. Passed through several small towns on our way to Peterborough, where we stopped for lunch. Arrived at Hancocks Lookout at about 3 pm where we set up for our overnight stop.Well worth the 7kms. of dirt road when we saw the views of Spencer Gulf. The sunset was amazing, superb colours, as I hope you can see in the photos.Then the lights af Whyalla and Port Augusta at night, and the magnificent stars, ahhhh...
