Did around trip today visiting lock 1 and lock 2. Great to be back on the Murrary river and swing the diversity it has to offer. The locks are just covered in pelicans waiting to catch a feed a spectular sight indeed. Weather is still crazy reaching 45 deg again today!

Jul 16, 2007 - 2 Days on the Farm

We drove up to the family farm in Weston Flat, near Waikerie. Flick's brother Nick and his wife Rita run an organic produce farm and a "Bush Café" in what used to be, first, the barn, and then their home for a number of years. They've since moved into the main house and keep the "barn" as the café and wwoofer domicile. Wwoofers are travelers who volunteer to do a work exchange at organic properties around Australia.
