Oct 31, 2013 - Friends and Christies Beach

Leaving Stirling we headed into Adelaide and out to the caravan accessory place, Cara-rest at Kilburn. We think the best accessory place we've seen. They had everything we needed. We headed to our friends Forbes and Annette's place and went out to Italian for dinner. Seafood pasta mmm very filling and tasty. We spent a very pleasant evening with them, going back to their place for coffee. It's really nice to catch up with life long friends. We drove from there to Christies Beach where we parked on the promenade.

Oct 30, 2013 - Alan and Rosie's

Stirling is a very pretty and old part of Adelaide where the monied came to settle and planted glorious deciduous trees in their gardens. Most of the houses are reasonably well hidden and many and varied people live here now. It is a similar type of area to the Dandenongs in Melbourne. Some of the houses have very old chimneys so must have been built quite a long time ago. Other houses are newer. The little village has some nice shops and Rosie and I walked down in the sunshine to the village to look at the shops and buy a couple of items....

Oct 29, 2013 - Visiting Stirling

We left Salt Creek with grey skies but we're hoping for better weather as we get towards Adelaide. We drove alongside the Murray following the river till we got to Tailem Bend and then drove into Murray Bridge which is off the highway and quite a pretty place. The farmland before you get into Adelaide is very green. We drove into Stirling and found our way to our friends Alan and Rosie's house and parked in their driveway.
