We had a few episodes of thunderstorms rolling over us last night, but have woken to a beautiful, slightly cooler, day today. After lots of procrastination, and because we have been on the road for the last couple of days, we have decided to stay here today. While Ian went off to try and catch a carp or two (not for eating- just to say he caught one and maybe to outdo the 14lb winner that the boys caught last night (he didn’t!)), I took Ruby for a walk up to the (very) small township of Narrung. Dec 28, 2016 - Swan Reach to Narrung

After some heavy rain and strong wind about midnight we woke to a fine, but humid and warm morning. As we had pretty well packed up last night in lieu of the approaching storm, it was an easy pack up this morning and we were on our way following the Murray River course by about 9.30am. It turned out to be a spectacular drive as most of the drive is above the cliffs with wonderful views of the Murray below from several lookouts along the way. We had photo stops at different lookouts along the way including Big Bend, Walker Flat and Mannum....
