Coldest night since we have been away but up to a lovely day and very little fog. On our way before 8.30am. We take a nice scenic drive along the Murray Way and use the ferry at Cudell to cross. It is a large car ferry and we both fit on with cars behind. The river is not very wide here and it takes less than 5 minutes from driving on to driving off at the other side. Stop just short of Burra for morning tea and decide to drive through to Port Augusta to make sure we get a spot at the Sports Club Motorhome compound. It is a lovely drive...

Jun 4, 2018 - Mail Route Rest Area to Moorook Riverside Camp

Up at 7.30 and on the road by 9am. Foggy but not as bad as yesterday. We are into South Australia so make sure we have no fresh fruit or vegetables on board. We stop for morning tea along the road and reach the SA Border before lunch. No problems at checkpoint even find out I could have bought our pumpkins in fresh. Our first sighting of emus as we drive along, they have very dark feathers with the young ones being a light brown colour, lots to be seen.
