We spent a night at Erldunda Roadhouse which is at the intersection of the Stuart and Lasseter Hwys about 260 kms from Uluru. They have emus, kangaroos and a pretty camel with lovely long lashes. They also have a famous rooster who has appeared on TV, his name is Cluck Norris and he's in with the kangaroos and thinks he is one of them. Funny to watch them all be together in the yard. Jun 10, 2018 - Washing day at Cadney

Lovely day after a reasonably warm night. A little rain but all gone now. Rosemary and I do several loads of washing in our machines and have the clothes line to ourselves. Morning tea then housework. Read a little then lunch and loll away the day. Several other vans are in and a fellow says he will be singing for happy hour but we don’t worry about going across to the roadhouse and have our own happy hour around the van. Jun 9, 2018 - Bon Bon Rest Area to Cadney Roadhouse

On the road again by 8.30 scheduling a stop at Coober Pedy for fuel and a hardware store to get silastic etc. to repair the leaky window. We make Coober Pedy where we fill up at a cheap fuel outlet $1.62 a litre is cheap out here, and then park up town. Bob heads for the hardware store and we find a pizza restaurant which serves coffee and toasted sandwiches, so settle there to wait for Bob’s return.
