Today is a nice peaceful day first we went on a 2.4 km walk it went around a mountain. We saw some wallaroos and emus. When we got back dad made Curtis and I a scavenger hunt to do. It was a little hard and it took one hour to do but we finally completed it. Z

Stringers Go West

Jun 27, 2013 - Mambray Creek...continued

Today we woke early. At about 6.00am to go on a nine km walk called sugar gum look out. On the way we found about 12 kangaroos they were really cute and some had pouches with little heads poking out. The scenery was nice but we were very tired and the view from the lookout was not so good (blocked by trees’s), but once we got home we could relax for the rest of the day.

Jun 26, 2013 - Mambray Creek

Finally a small drive. We made it to Mambray creek in just 1 hour. We set up our tent nice and early and went for 2 walks, one was the Mambray creek walk and the other the Baroota hike. On the way we saw the Baroota ruins. It is not every day that you see an emu and kangaroos walk through your camp. We will enjoy 3 nights here! Z

Apr 23, 2013 - Coober Pedy to Mambray Creek, Mount Remarkable

Day 27 of our Joy – Tuesday 23 April 2013 Coober Pedy to Mambray Creek, Mount Remarkable Today we went to the Visitor’s centre and filled up with diesel then got on the road. We stopped at Woomera which is a very interesting town that used to do rocket, missile and nuclear testing. They would make the rockets and put it up in the air and see what things worked and not. They did this here as there is lots of space. This town also used to be a town where the illegal immigrants used to have to stay. There was a building that the government...
