Jun 8, 2017 - 8th June, 2017. Loxton

8/6/2017. Loxton -2 degrees this morning. We had some "Riverland Experiences" today, firstly checking out a free camp nearby right on the river, and very quiet, which would be great in warmer weather. We went to Berri which was lovely with the river on the edge of town, then Barmera where we admired Lake Bonney and walked up the main street listening to the buskers here for the music festival this weekend. Numerous locals had recommended Banrock Station Wine and Wetlands Centre for the views over the wetlands which Banrock Station have...

Jun 7, 2017 - 7th June, 2017. Adelaide to Loxton

7/6/2017. Loxton It was COLD this morning! Ian turned the car on to warm it up before hitching the van, and a light came on above the temperature readout of 4 degrees. 'Icy Roads'. That's a worry, because we have to go back up the steep, winding road to the highway. Oh well, can't be worse than yesterday! It has been on the market now for about 4 weeks and although we have had several interested parties come to inspect it, and all the feedback has...

There are a number of thankyous that I must share with you. Firstly to Nikki, who sent an email almost every week, a...

Feb 11, 2012 - Too late to back out now

It really is too late to back out now. Thankyou to those that I managed to catch up with during this week for meals or coffee etc. Thankyou also for all the well wishes and yes, the concerns about whether taking up this assignment was the right thing to do. And yes, those concerns are real, as any change carries a risk, loss of job, loss of friends, etc, but hopefully this one will have some positive outcomes, such as return to employment and friends and bringing with it some extra experiences in life skills. The lack of a regular salary...
