Dec 30, 2016 - Narrung to Kingston

Most of our drive today was either beside Lake Albert (to Meningie) then beside the Coorong Lakes system. There are lots of camping spots along the way, but because it is all national park we had to keep driving. However, we have ended up in the (free) Kingston 24 hour RV park. It is right beside the jetty and beach with shops in easy walking distance. We took the dogs for a walk along the jetty, then shopped for a few bits and pieces in town before Ian went off to do some fishing on the jetty whilst I finished reading my book. Once Ian...

Aug 13, 2014 - Kingston SE

Kingston is the first town you get to south of the coorong. It has a big lobster. Feb 18, 2009 - The Big Lobster

Today we hit the road and headed down the coast until it was time to wine taste. We stopped at the Mount Benson Winery. Then down the road to Kingston and we had lunch at the Big Lobster. Then we hit the beach for the afternoon. We are having trouble adding photographs to our site... as soon as we hit a big town I hope that we can find a computer that works. We are off to sit in our beach chairs under a tree to read our books for the evening.

Jan 26, 2008 - Hahndorf to Kingston

Hahndorf to Kingston. We left for Kingston on Australia Day 26th January and had a very pleasant drive along the Princes Highway. The road follows the Younghusband peninsular, which is separated from the mainland by an inlet known as The Coorong. This whole area is very picturesque and is home to many bird and wildlife species. The campsite was quite a good one and we were lucky to get one of the last two sites. A Jayco caravan club had decided to make it their base for the long weekend and it was great to see the Australian flags flying...
