Jul 17, 2005 - Back to the mainland!

Ahh Back from Fraser. Three days of magical sun and fun! Fraser is amazing - with the weather being even better than last time we were here! We really can't get enough of the place. This was definately one of the highlights of our whole trip. Now that we are on the mainland, we can work out what we are doing and how. All we know at the moment is that we are heading north and that sooner or later, sailing and diving will fit in. We'll let you know what we are up to as it happens! Jun 27, 2005 - Hervey Bay

The town of Hervey Bay is the gateway to Fraisure Island adventures. It is actually a collection of several contiguous suburbs stretching out along the Hervey Bay. All shopping and entertainment activity is concentrated on the Esplanade, which runs along the beach. A nicely landscaped park serves as a windbreak and separator between the beach and the shops. The esplanade is definitely just another tourist trap and is priced accordingly. I tried to limit my exposure and instead was going to the bars frequented by the locals. Hervey Bay...
