We found Carmila Beach camp in the Camps Australia book and what a find it was! Not too far off the Bruce highway, right on the beach were heaps of caravans all set up and looking like they spend the winter. We followed the sandy track right along almost to the end, where the big vans couldnt go as it became quite narrow and found a spot on our own. It was amazing! Nov 27, 2009 - Seaforth Qld

Looking to escape the hustle again we set out to re-create the Etty Bay experience by heading to a free camp bush on the beach setting at Seaforth. Well let's just say that the sequel is never as good as the original movie. It had the potential to be nice, but after two nights of sandlfies so hungry that our skin looks more like a moonscape with bumps and craters, and a sea breeze that had the annoying habit of dying at night so it was hot.
