May 3, 2013 - Nindigully Pub

2nd May We left the Ridge on a cool windy morning. A change in weather conditions occurred during the night. A shock after a 30 degree day yesterday. Today we are heading towards St George but will be staying at Nindigully Pub about 50 kms away. The oldest pub in Queensland opened in 1867. Leaving the Ridge we had some very rough roads, beginning to think I should have taken some travel calm. Thankfully the roads improved after about 15 kms. We passed through the small towns of Hebel. Aug 26, 2012 - day 1

Hi guys Photos wont up load from here but I will do them tomorrow. That we travel 400 kms. ALONG THE Cunningham why there was lots of battle. BOTH TREES AND shrubs. It seems to have been very dry out here. Once on the Barons hwy we have seen kangaroos , emus and hawks and crows. There is heaps of birds here and they may a lot of noise. I have seen Willy wag tails , aposle birds and herons and heaps more. The trees seem freasher here, Maybe they have had more rain. Not as much driving tomorrow.

May 11, 2011 - Nindigully (Nindigully Pub and Camping)

11th May. We left Goondiwindi this morning, we were planning to stay the night at St. George, but were told along the way that the Nindigully Pub was well worth a look so after driving past cotton crops,(we were passed by lot’s of semi trailers carrying large round bails of cotton) sorgum and cattle grazing country, we arrived at Nindigully Pub, which is very old, the bar walls are adorned with old stockman’s hats (dozens and dozens of them) there is a lot of photos showing dam digging using horses, and old ones of the area in years gone...
