Sat 11th Oct – A day out with our hosts John and Tess. We headed up to the Mt Tamborine area, which sits on a 600m-high plateau. The area is full of heritage communities, arts and craft shops, B&B’s, wineries, teahouses, cafes and nurseries. Unfortunately it was drizzling when we arrived. However, we found a local community craft fair in North Tamborine which we visited and where Gill managed to buy a couple of mementos. It was interesting to see that there were busloads of locals coming in especially to see this particular craft fair....
