Jeff We are really on our way to Cania Gorge, but what a find Mount Morgan turned out to be. The town was listed as a Heritage Town by the Australian Heritage Commission in 1980 and listed as a Historic Town by the National Trust of Queensland in 1981. Mount Morgan was named after the Morgan brothers who pegged the first claims and developed the mine in partnership with three Rockhampton businessmen.
