Our plan was to visit Phil and Libby who we met at a wedding in May. We arrived in Banana and took the Barfield Road. We arrived at their graziers station and what a beautiful place it is. They gave us a very warm welcome and we really enjoyed our time there enjoying a delicious lunch and chat. After lunch we had a tour of the station with a look at the cattle yards, hay paddock, cows and bulls, plus a tour of historic buildings including the old blacksmiths hut and then a drive to some of the outer paddocks. Mar 3, 2014 - Banana

After six days in Agnes Water / 1770 we left the coast and headed inland, passing through Miriam Vale where we rejoined the Bruce Hwy which we hadn't seen since Gympie. We stayed on it until Calliope where we headed west toward Biloela. Arriving there about midday we decided to just do a bit of stocking up of the fridge (mainly meat, milk and bread as there will be no shops this week), have lunch and keep going to Banana.
