Sep 30, 2012 - Move to Gunlom,....early start of Gunmeleng season....

Woke to find grey clouds with rain threatening. Pre-monsoon season of 'Gunmeleng' officially starts tomorrow. Packed camper and heading south by 8am. Surprised to find water over road . Has been no rain for several months in the season of 'Gurrung. 4wd road to Maguk, now with large puddles over corrugated road. 2km walk over very rocky and sandy river bed to beautiful rock pool area. Sep 16, 2011 - Day 12 Katherine Gorge to Gunlom Falls (Kakadu)

After our first two night stopover, we were on the move again. India and Paddy had befriended 3 kids camped next to us, so it was sad to see them say goodbye to the smurf village they had built in the trees, but there will be new friends soon enough. We headed back to Katherine, and were lucky enough to pop into the "Katherine school of the air" right when the 10am tour was starting.
