Lake Macquarie Day 104 Wetlands I wake up and Mark is already sat at the end of the jetty. There are walkers, joggers and canoeists passing by the large picture windows and the water on the lake looks a smooth as glass. Joining Mark, we decide to drive into the main street so Mark can buy bait for fishing. The small town of Carey Bay consists of a main street and a strip on the lake. 10/8/13, Tuesday. We arrived today at Peita's home. She is one of Herb's daughters. We got to meet her before she had to leave for Sydney to go to work. She and her children have a nice home with a huge backyard bordering on a small forest of trees. It was very pretty. Her town is on a penninsula sticking out into Lake Macquarie, Australia's largest coastal salt water lake. It is huge at 42.5 square miles. It is connected to the Tasman Sea by a short channel.
