Aug 13, 2011 - Kiama and Narooma

Early in the day passed through Kiama (Cullen's retirement plan) and was very impressed with the location on the coast and the hilly countryside. It would appear its a retirement paradise and the property cost reflect this, a nice house with a sea view will set you back 600 plus, which isn't bad for the location. Narooma was also a lovely spot on the coast, but I found Batemans Bay to be a great disappointment. The Princes Highway down here in the Bega area is SO hilly and a lot of work for the WOG truck, the Chev is getting nearer and...

Aug 12, 2011 - Shellharbour

Headed towards the outskirts of Sydney, traveled through Pennant Hills ( we have a Cwm(valley) Pennant with us in North Wales)and then on towards Bangor ( born there)and went through Menai (straits between mainland and Anglesey)continued through Liverpool. Very spectacular drive from Gosford to Sydney with roads cutting through mountains. Headed for a park in Shellharbour called Killalea for the night, a bit of drama as it had an automatic boom gate(we found out later) and the camp road was full of speed bumps.
