Oct 20, 2011 - Aus - Day 169 - Wombat sighting

Last nigh we found a wonderful little free campground located right beside a fairly large river. Beautiful, quiet spot. As luck would have it, as we were working out I spotted a huge round fat wombat. Light brown in color, just chewing at grass about 10 feet away from the van. He just looked up at me as if to say, "What, haven't you ever seen a wombat eat before?" Oct 19, 2011 - Aus - Day 168 - Kangaroo Valley

We slept at a rest stop in Goulburn last night. Jason made pancakes this morning for breakfast, an indulgence for us once in a while. Made our way to Morton National Park to Yarrunga Valley to view the Grand Canyon Vista - not like the Grand Canyon back in North America but it offered wonderful tropical forest views none the less. We really went to Morton National Park with the intention of going to the Glow worm Glen however best time of year to see them here is between December to February so sadly we continued on. Aug 11, 2007 - Weeks in the Wilderness

Ok, so after spending a woeful week in Wagga Wagga, apparently the largest inland city in NSW, about the size of Sutton Coldfield/ Soilhul!! Where I was fencign for a week, 5 km of barbed wire, not fun, and it was freezing!! our CVA team was spilt up and the majority of us went to an amazing place about 3 hours from Sydney called Kangaroo Valley, where we were staying in cabins in the forest and sharign the land with possums and wombats!!
