Jul 25, 2008 - First Night Inverell

Well we finally made it out the driveway. Both boys are sick so we are taking it very slow. We left at midday and ended up the road in Inverell. We thought best to stay at a caravan park in a nice warm cabin. Thinking if all goes well we should get to Moree. Only another short day as we will leg it to Lightning ridge next. I took jack for a walk to check out the ducks and noticed the sun setting. I did not quite made it. Hopefully the night goes well with plenty of sleep!

Nov 20, 2006 - Inverell Races

I was given the second weekend on the farm off and Wendy suggested I go to the Inverell races, Inverell is a small town, but larger than Warialda, about 1 hours drive away. Her friend, Desie lives there and was kind enough to offer me a lift on the Friday night. We first had a meal in the pub though, which Desie's friend bought for us, which was nice. Leaving Glenn Innes after 1 night pushed onto Surfers Paradise Broadbeach Park via Tenterville and through the mountains stopping for a cuppa in a very quiet little town that only had 1 cafe/craft shop/sewing/tourist information and the local tea drinkers were sat on the bench outside the shop passing the day with chat of who was going to look after the dogs tommorrow ?
