20 minutes after boarding the Greyhound bus from Sydney to Byron Bay we had broken down in the middle of the motorway. ... Since we got on well from the start we spent our time in Byron Bay together. ... Sophie and I spent the first day walking along the beach and hiking up to Byron Bay's famous light house. ... I was greeted in Byron Bay by a massive storm. ... The only problem was that when it is raining in Byron Bay there is absolutely nothing to do, everything revolves around the beach and the cliffsides - far too dangerous to explore in heavy rain and strong winds. ... I ended up spending the afternoon and evening in my room watching film after film after film (Jess & Dan - check out a film called Pineapple Express, it's absolutely brilliant).I was greeted in Byron Bay by a massive storm. ... May 3, 2009 - Hang gliding over Byron Bay- Sean's Journal Entry
What a privilege - Sean has been 'invited' to contribute to this esteemed diary, because of my thrill seeking experiences apparently. The big Byron Bay swim was on (800m and 2200m)so once we were up and about we popped onto the beach just as the 800m was starting - Liam stayed in the caravan all morning reading a Harry Potter book so the rest of us played on the beach, then walked down the beach and into the main shopping area where we sat down and had some 'Byron Bay Organic Donuts' - NOT BAD!!! $3. ... 50 per donut but they were BIG and 'doughy' and very tasty - you just can't have too many.What a privilege - Sean has been 'invited' to contribute to this esteemed diary, because of my thrill seeking experiences apparently. Rhiannon and I dressed and went to the main street of Byron Bay and had breakfast before my beautician and hairdressing appointments. ... it smelt good before I realised it was one also it was next door to the Byron Bay Organic Donuts that we just had to try!!!! YUMMY!!! We then walked back to the cp and rested for an hour or so before Sean had put the roast and veges in the weber and we went for a stroll along the beach to the SLSC where there were people practicing their skills in circus acts. ...

Byron Bay: April 28 it's goodbye to the Sunshine Coast and Queensland and off to Byron Bay in the state of New South Wales. ... As we approach Byron Bay, we're now high on a mountain with wonderful views to the ocean on the easterly side and valleys on the westerly side. ... As we continued along toward Byron Bay we were now on a very narrow road which took us up another mountain. ...
