After 6 weeks in Queensland here we come New South Wales at the beginning of October. The country is so spectacular and the drive from Tenterfield very hilly and scenic. I liked Tenterfield - it had a nice feel to it; as you first drive into a place you can often tell how loved it is by its inhabitants. I had my first haircut on the road in Alstonville - nobody would have recognised me, even scared Sam first thing in the morning! I really loved Alstonville and the area aroound it - a short walk into town and friendly people. Once again...

Jan 29, 2011 - Introducing hat
Ok the bags are packed the passport is stowed and the camera is charged - finally catching the plane tonight from Brisbane but in till then I'm killing time so I don't start freaking out that I've forgotten something. I usually have forgotten something, but it's never what I think I've left behind. So I unpack my whole bag thinking I've forgotten my camera charger, find it then get to wherever I'm going and realise I've forgotten the spare camera battery - don't laugh sometimes yes I am that dumb. Ok so you asked for an update - you have one. I'm sorry about the photo - my dad took it as we were coming home and now it's the only one I can find to test out the uploading deal. And before you say it no its not safe to go around without pants on the off chance of snakes but its 29 degrees out so I figured the chances of heatstroke were greater.
