8th Nov We had to get up at 5am to get up early enough to get the tram to the Victoria Arts Centre. We arrived in Canberra ready for a trip around Parliament House, which was really interesting and the guy who took us around knew loads of stuff. ... So iv been around the Australian parliament before our own! We went to the roof and got some good pictures of Canberra city centre. ... Well when we woke up at 5am, getting a tram into the City to catch our 6. seeing Canberra. ... Had a huge cooked breakfast (could really have done with this the previous day) then piled onto the bus to Canberra, Australia's capital city. ... On Wednesday morning I flew from Brisbane to Canberra for the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science conference. ... Sylvia's Comments Waking in Australia's capital city we discovered that our bathroom skylight was somewhere on the road between Oberon and Canberra. ... Apr 13, 2007 - Our day trip in the nations capital
Due to the speediness of the UK embassy, (Tim and I are now converts to actually going into emabssies, not dealing with them remotely), we had 6 hours to kill in our nations capital. Lesser people and blow up animals would crack at this thought and freak out "Canberra AHHHH!". ... Stayed with Jess and Ian in Canberra, who have recently moved here from Adelaide. ... There's also a nice rooftop cafe where you have to watch you sandwiches like a hawk so that the greedy magpies don't swipe your food if you so much as take your eyes off it for a second! I wasn't expecting alot from Canberra because everyone in Australia slags it off, but I found it to be a pleasant city. ... I had intended on cycling the full circuit around the lake - but it's really big and I was quite tired so just looked across it instead!
