From El Calafate we flew down to the southern most city in the world - Ushuaia. ... We took a boat from Ushuaia down the Beagle channel which joins the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and has Argentina on one side and Chile on the other. ... Finally we visited a Husky Dog breeding centre where we learned about the dog sledding, unfortunately not enough snow to try it but we got to cuddle and stroke the dogs - who were gorgeous! Whilst in Ushuaia we also visited another brilliant museum which used to be the prison (because of its remoteness Ushuaia was also used as a penal colony by Argentina). ...

I have definitely exhausted ALL that Ushuaia has to offer now - from End of the World museums to cake shops, to every possible piece of penguin tat, I've seen it. ... And it was all very nice but now I am certainly more than itching to get on the ship and set sail for the icy waters of Antarctica!
