Our overnight bus ride to Santiago Del Estero (SDE), 12 hours from Buenos Aires and in the north of the country was a revelation. A large double decker bus. We were on the top deck where the large comfortable seats reclined into flat beds. Champagne and snacks were served soon after we set off which was swiftly followed by dinner, wine and a movie, together with waitress service. A journey to rival first class air travel. This trip with Tracy was turning into one of those journeys of accomplishment for me...where I was actually VISITING all those places that I'd TRIED VISITING before but never quite made it! First Iguazú Falls, and now Esteros del Iberá.
