2/5/2013 Tonight in Puerto San Julian, a wonder small city, great camping and great people. We noticed coming in that many of the adults and children were very fair skinned. Scotts settled here to raise sheep. One of the cleanest water front towns we have ever been to and our campground host was very happy to see us. The camping park is on the water front. Great shipping museum. The drive here reminded us of the Australian Outback. Miles upon miles of nothing with the occasional “road house”.

Jan 21, 2007 - Puerto San Julian, Santa Cruz Province (Patagonia)

Sunday 21st January 2007 Arrived in the small town of Puerto San Julian, on the overnight bus from Puerto Madryn at around 8am this morning, after a very disturbed night's sleep. We had to change buses around 2am this morning which didn't help! Checked into the Municipal Hotel, after a little confusion with my taxi driver, who was insistent that I wanted to go the Municipal Gymnasium and took me there instead (perhaps it was all that cake I consumed in Gaiman yesterday that made him think that!)
