Jan 15, 2005 - Ice Ice Baby

After a very good nights sleep, we headed to El Calafate in Argentina. ... Unfotunately though when we got there we had a nightmare trying to find accomodation, we could only find a hotel that would take us in but the price was 300US per night!!! Luckily after a couple of hours of searching we were able to find two beds in a dorm room (we were lucky!) We could not believe that even though there were hostels & hotels everywhere that they were completely booked out! The next morning we went on a tour to the Perito Moreno Glacier. After a very good nights sleep, we headed to El Calafate in Argentina. ... Oct 13, 2004 - ARGENTINA- El Calafate/ Perito Moreno Glacier/ Fitzroy

A pretty bumpy ride got us eventually to El Calafate. ... Well arrival in El Calafate, a one street town, we were all pleasantly surprised, its a luvly wooden town, apparently built for tourists, but the shops are full of little handicrafts, and its a bit cheaper than Chile :) So laundry done I headed to the camera shop to get my fotos onto CD so I can share them all with yooz, then disaster struck!!! Camera wasnt on top of my bag where I left it. ... 5 hours on a bus on really bumpy roads from El Calafate brought us here. ...
