01/15: The Perito Moreno Glacier. So I don't pretend to be a travel writer, or for that matter even just a writer. That being said, I will refrain from attempting to describe the Glacier because I surely won't do it justice and let you look at the the pictures. 01/16-01/20: Ushuaia with a side trip to Tierra del Fuego. Ushuaia is the jumping off point for excursions to Antarctica. Feb 25, 2005 - El Calafate - Moreno Glacier

25.02 The weather was fantastic this morning so we quickly headed to the base of Glaciar Martial on the outskirts of town. It was a moderately demanging walk with some very steep sections and strong winds towards the glaciar. The terrain at the edge of the glaciar was very rocky and small streams crossed the 'path'.
